📄️ Available methods
There are several ways to allow users to authenticate on an eLabFTW instance:
📄️ Local authentication
It is the default authentication mechanism. From the "Local auth" tab, you can restrict local authentication to Sysadmin users only, and mask the email/password input fields from login page so users are only presented with SAML or LDAP options.
📄️ SAML authentication
This page describes the steps necessary to setup SAML2 authentication on eLabFTW with an Identity Provider (IdP). Accordingly, this section is meant for users who are already familiar with the process of setting up and running an instance of eLabFTW and the basics of SAML2 authentication.
📄️ LDAP authentication
This page describes the configuration of LDAP authentication for an eLabFTW instance.
